The Unconscious Purgatory

Currently, there are 2 versions of this game. Kazoo was working on a short 3D experience, but the Pirate Game Jam started, and she switched focus to Depth of Rock. Upon returning to The Unconscious Purgatory, she decided that she didn't like the story, and the gameplay wasn't good either. Even though the game was almost complete, looked good, and was teased on social media, she scrapped the project.

The old purgatory

You wake up in an old pickup truck, far from the bed you fell asleep in. You look around and notice a girl driving. She notices your gaze, and is suprised, but oddly, she is not frightened by your sudden appearance. She welcomes you, and explains your situation. You are in the Onconscious Purgatory. You can wake up at any time, but you decide to stay with the girl, she has a long drive after all. She mentions living in the purgatory, but this does not make sense. You have to be asleep to be in the Unconscious Purgatory, right? You ponder this question when she mentions the name of another resident. She does not trust her "friend" and is trying to escape her. You hear your morning alarm, and the girl hears it too. You can't help but wake up, leaving her there.

This story has almost entirely been retconned for the new game.

The new purgatory

Kazoo wanted to add better gameplay to this game, so she decided to make something she enjoys herself. A rhythm game! Kazoo was inspired by games like Unbeatable: White Label and Friday Night Funkin. The game's core mechanics are almost complete, but Kazoo doesn't want to share too much, so you'll have to play it yourself when it's finished!
